This couple, however, did something a bit different. After befriending a stray dog during their travels to Mexico, the couple decided they could not part without him. Therefore, they took him back home with them.

An American couple was backpacking through Mexico when they stumbled upon an adorable street dog. Or perhaps I should say, the dog stumbled upon them. In various TikTok posts, this couple showed that this stray dog followed them literally everywhere throughout their time in Mexico.
Videos show him with the couple at stores, bars, restaurants, literally everywhere. After some time, this couple realized that this dog was truly special; he was their soul dog. So they did what every one of us wishes they could do, they decided to bring him home with them. In one of their posts, the pup's mom —Abby — shared that they stayed in Mexico for a month sorting out all of his paperwork to make sure they could bring him back to the States.
They additionally settled on his name, Amigo. The couple shared that he got his name because every time he would approach them, they would say "Hey there Amigo," which translates to "Hey there friend." Eventually, the pup realized that Amigo was him, and now they really were the three amigos ready to start life together.
Amigo has been with the couple for two years now and has been living his best life. Abby shares constant updates on his life with his followers online.
