A woman is lucky to be alive after getting in a car collision with an alligator of all things. The incident happened where else but Florida.
Fortunately, Maslin Kurtz of Myakka City survived her own Florida woman story. The incident happened back in March, but it is just now making the headlines. Kurtz was seriously injured after getting into a car crash thanks to a wandering alligator.
"The sweet couple that rescued me out of my crushed car, and prayed with me as we waited for medical help," she said. "I thank God for y'all. Truly a miracle I'm here today. Could not have done it without your help."
Alligator Causes Crash
Apparently, she hit an alligator.
"Due to hitting an alligator, she rolled her car and was in the ICU for a few days, dealing with a fractured shoulder, sternum, and spine," a GoFundMe description from her friends reads. "By the grace and mercy of God, she is now at home and recovering without the need for any surgeries! Praise God!"
"Maslin is truly such an incredible, loving, and talented person filled with so much love and joy," the description of Kurtz, 25, reads. "She is a light and friend to everyone she comes in contact with. She is so dearly loved and we are so thankful for all the angels surrounding her!"
She's raising money for her medical bills and recovery. But what the story doesn't mention is what happened to the alligator. We can only assume that the animal went splat. Gators are tough, but being hit by a vehicle is a severe trauma even for them.
