After Multiple Incidents Disneyland Banned These Items From Top Rides

Disneyland has decided to put its foot down when it comes to the items you are allowed to bring onto its top rides. After "guest incidents" had begun to skyrocket, Disney noticed there was a striking correlation. When it comes to "guest incidents" on rides, dropped items lead the pack. In particular, these two items seemed to be the most problematic. Now, after multiple incidents  Dinseyland has banned these items from their top rides.

Honestly, after learning about this, I think it makes complete sense. When enjoying high-speed or intense rides, it is best to have your hands free. Not only is it sad if you lose a personal object, but I am sure it hurts a lot when it flies off and hits an unsuspecting person on the ground. While hats and a pair of sunglasses may not hurt too much, a phone or a Stanley Cup sure would.

That's right, when Disneyland banned two items, they went for the most popular ones, cellphones and Stanley Cups. The NY Post shared that the average "incident-related shutdowns have been 10%," but recently they have "shot up to 13%." The top contenders on the list were smartphones and Stanley Cups. So, if you thought you were going to livestream some of Disneyland's intense rides, think again.

Similarly, you are going to have to leave your emotional support water bottle at the entrance of the ride. Luckily, Disney is prepared. The Post shared that "Disney has installed dedicated shelves at the loading station. Guests are now required to leave their loose water bottles before the ride starts." So you can still bring your water, just not on the ride. Honestly, it makes sense; high-speed rides and inversions do not work well with "40-ounce metal tumblers." Additionally, if you want to bring your phone on the ride, you'd better ensure that it is zipped up tight somewhere because Disney staff are not under orders to not let you ride certain thrill rides if they see your phone in your lap or hand.
