It seems like Disney World is always striving to be bigger and better. With constant updates, refurbishments, and new attractions, the parks always seem fresh and exciting. Now, Disney has decided to keep the magic going by announcing 5 new roller coasters coming to its theme parks.
Disney Drops Hints For 5 New Roller Coasters

Mickey Visit shared all the details surrounding this exciting announcement. According to the outlet, the theme park shared exciting news about five new roller coasters across Disney theme parks. The first new coaster will grace Tokyo Disneyland. According to the outlet, Disnelyand will be receiving a new Space Mountain roller coaster. What makes this so unique is that it is not simply a refurbishment. Instead, the park is building a new version of the ride directly next to the old version. They will then tear down the old version. The ride is estimated to open sometime in 2027.
Next, Orlando's Hollywood Studios is getting a new ride as well. This is the second of Disney's five new roller coasters. In this case, it is Monsters Inc. themed. In this park, they are building an entire Monsters Inc. land, and this roller coaster is one of the attractions within it. The ride is set to mimic the chase scene through the door vaults from the film. Besides having an exciting new land, what makes this ride so thrilling is that it is the first suspended coaster in a Disney park.
Although an active release date has not been announced, construction is already underway. Good thing too, because this land and ride are highly anticipated by guests.

Next on our list of the five new roller coasters at Disney World, we have the Spider-Man Coaster opening at Disneyland Shanghai. Mickey Visit shared that "Concept art depicts indoor and outdoor scenes." Unfortunatley for excited park guests, Disney has been relatively silent regarding any updates or clues about the details of this new ride. However, we do know that it will be part of a new Spider-Man land at the park. As with the other rides, Disney has not announced an official opening date for this roller coaster either.
Fourth on the list, the next new Disney roller coaster is over in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. As you may have previously heard, Magic Kingdom is expanding to create a new Villains Land ( I literally cannot wait!). As a part of this new land, Disney announced that there will be "two major attractions." While they have not released specifics about either attraction, they have released images of the concept art. The artwork appears to show a roller coaster. Images shared by Mickey Visit show a train blazing through a cavern, then another image with purple, thorny brambles in the distance. The coloring and imagery appear to mimic scenes from Disney's Sleeping Beauty, leading guests to believe that this roller coaster will be Maleficent-themed.
Finally, last on our list of new roller coasters coming to Disney, we have Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets. This ride already exists, featuring Aerosmith, but now the theme will be changing to the muppets. While the ride will remain fundamentally unchanged, the story and theming will be altered. This roller coaster is also in Orlando's Hollywood Studios park.
