Disneyland Confirms Yet Another Shutdown

At this point, I would just wait to travel to Disneyland until next year. It seems like every day there is another announcement about an attraction closing. While I am all for refurbishment and keeping everything up-to-date, there comes a time when you have to say, " Enough is enough". Or at least space out these closures so it does not feel as if everything is shut down at the same time. However, Disney's latest closure is sure to ruffle some feathers. That is because this is one of its most popular rides. I can tell you that I would be seriously disappointed if I went to Disney and this ride was not up and running. Read on to learn which attraction Disneyland has shut down this time.

What Attraction Has Disneyland Shut Down?

I am remiss to reveal that The Jungle Cruise at California's Disneyland has been shut down. To make matters even worse, DisneyFanatic shares that it is currently closed indefinitely. However, before you panic at the loss of a top-tier ride, know that it should reopen. The indefinite status is temporary simply because Disney has not revealed an opening date. The beloved ride closed down on February 17 for a scheduled refurbishment. Phew, everyone breathes a sigh of relief!

This Disney classic is not being replaced or shut down entirely; it is just getting a little maintenance. Now the entrance to the ride is blocked off with construction barriers. That way, in case guests were unaware of the scheduled shutdown, there is no mistaking it now. To make the wait even more tedious, Disney has not announced what this refurbishment entails. Therefore, park guests have no idea if they will see any changes or not when the ride reopens.

One Of Many Disneyland Shutdowns

The Jungle Cruise news is just the latest Disneyland shutdown. Sources also revealed that Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, as well as the Disneyland Monorail, will also be shutting down. Supposedly, both of those are also for refurbishment. Those shutdowns are scheduled for March 30, and similar to the Jungle Cruise, an opening date has not been released. So if you were planning a trip later this year, just know that the monorail will not be functioning, and you will not be able to ride the infamous Jungle Cruise or Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin.
