13 Lambs Found With Their Necks Deliberately Broken in Horrifying Murder Mystery

There appears to be a murder mystery of the most foul kind. Someone reportedly killed 13 lambs by deliberately breaking their necks. Now, the owner of the lambs wants justice for the animal.

On March 14, someone killed the animals in the early morning hours. The incident happened in Northern Ireland. The Police Service of Northern Ireland said in a news release that they found the animals dead on Saturday. The animals were found dead at a farm on Drumsesk Road in Rostrevor, a village in Ireland.

It was a horrifying scene thanks to the coldness and brutality of the crime.

"It appears that their necks had been deliberately broken," Inspector Reynolds said. "This is a shocking crime, and we would be keen to hear from anyone who noticed anything unusual in the area during [those] times."

Lambs FOund Murdered

At this time, it's unknown who killed the lambs. However, the owner is now speaking out. Kevin McGivern, a local farmer, spoke with the BBC about the deaths of his animals.

He said it was the "the worst thing I could ever imagine,: McGivern and his brother discovered the animals when they went to feed them. He  "just knew from the distance there was something badly wrong."

"At least 11 had their necks broke, the others were probably strangled," he recalled to the BBC. "It was like a crime scene, really."

As far as his remaining sheep, he plans to relocate some of his remaining ones. But he said he has a difficult job ahead of him.

He said, "It's sort of like a welfare issue to relieve the ewes [female sheep] of the milk. Hopefully, if they adopt another lamb, it makes the ewe feel better. It's the best of a bad job."

Police are asking for information on the heinous crime.
