This is How You're Supposed to Catch Walleye in Late Summer

Dan Meyer from Dominate Fishing shows us the best way to catch walleye at the end of the summer.

Towards the end of summer, you can be sure to catch walleye on the sand and rock flats, but you'll need to change your typical approach. Check out this video from Dominate Fishing and learn how to catch walleye before winter hits.

As you just saw, these guys were jigging minnows and crawlers in this late-August video. They were fishing in deeper water and bouncing their setups along the bottom of the flats. The jigging method helped them to catch a lot fish, even though they were hoping for something a little bigger.

When you go fishing for walleye in late summer, keep in mind you may have to try a few different spots before you find where they are feeding. Once you find this spot, remember what you learned in this video and rip some walleye lip.
