Shark Researcher Has Close Call When Great White Leaps Out of the Water

This shark researcher wasn't quite expecting this.

So, we've seen it 1,000 times on the Discovery Channel. As we always see, a shark researcher is on the bow of a boat with a long stick and a tracking device on the other end. Whenever the dramatic point comes in the show, they tag it and the shark swims away. That's all well and good.

However, one shark seems to have been tagged one time too many.

As you are about to see, a great white shark breaches the water, seemingly directly at the shark researcher in the video. As they all laugh, you can kind of sense the uneasiness all over the boat.

Here, just check this out. It's pretty crazy.

Yeah, so did you see that coming? Holy crap is right. That's like a scene straight out of Jaws. According to the caption in the video, researchers have had this happen before, however, it's pretty rare. This may be the first time someone's caught it on video, though.

This is just one more piece of proof I need to just stay clear of the ocean altogether. Yep. Screw that.
