Overly-Aggressive Buck Attacks Marathon Runners in Washington

This aggressive buck chased down some marathon runners.

It's finally fall and 'tis the season for weird deer stories. There have already been a few deer-attack stories this fall.

The latest comes to us out of Washington, where an overly aggressive buck showed up during a marathon in Porcupine Bay last week.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Police reported in a post on its Facebook page that the buck actually entered the roadway to chase some of the runners.

When a couple of men at a water station tried to scare the animal away, the situation became even more extreme.

"Both men were gored by the buck (one on the hand and the other on the leg)," the post reads.

The men were treated at Davenport Hospital for their wounds. An unnamed person ended up shooting the deer, so fortunately the meat won't go to waste.

We've already seen a few crazy deer attacks this fall, rabid 10-point whitetail that attacked a man in broad daylight last month in New York.

It probably won't be the last either, as bucks will get more aggressive as the rut progresses.
