Handgun-Carrying Customer Shoots and Kills Arlington Murderer

Armed customer shoots murderer at sports bar, potentially saving lives.

On Wednesday May 3, an incident in Arlington, Tex., ended with one customer injured and two killed by gunfire in the Zona Caliente Sports Bar & Grill.

According to a statement by Arlington Police Department one of the deceased is a man who entered the sports bar and murdered an employee.

Both of the deceased were pronounced dead on the scene.

"Based upon multiple witnesses who were inside the location, detectives believe that a male suspect entered the location and confronted an employee," the statement reads. "During the verbal confrontation the suspect shot and killed the employee."

Arlington authorities are led to believe that a customer armed with a handgun fired at the gunman fatally wounding him. This occurring after he witnessed the confrontation.

The customer was thought to be legally carrying a handgun with a concealed weapons permit.
