An Alaskan Bull Moose got his big antlers tangled in the wires and was pulled into the air by the power authority crew.
Crews in Fairbanks, Alaska were laying brand new power cables which had been strung on the ground for several miles.
When the agitated and fully rutting moose was flailing about in the underbrush near the cables, he got them caught around his antlers. What happened next is the stuff of legend.
When the work crews, who were miles away at the time, began the process of pulling up the lines with their heavy equipment the big bull went right up with them!
The workers immediately noticed the extra tension in the cables and set off to find the problem. Can you imagine the sight of what they found?
It was a huge 60-inch spread Alaskan Bull Moose and it was dangling from the power lines like a Christmas ornament! By the look of the photo, the animal must have been near 40-feet in the air.
The work crews instantly started to drop the bull from his lofty perch using the equipment and immediately found that the big bull was quite alive and really ticked off!
It's thought that the moose has returned to his rutting activities none worse for the wear, and the power line crews? Well they have themselves a story that could only be born in Alaska!
