The contenders for Super Bowl 50 are set, and now it’s time to plan. If you’re like most houses that aim to host the big event, you are already trying to figure out your game day meal prep.
As outdoorsmen, wild game is probably going to be on the menu. Well in that case, let me be the first to recommend these cheesy venison hot pockets. They will be a favorite for everyone at your party.

Come on. You have to admit that looks amazing. My wife actually came up with this venison recipe. I think she found a winner, don’t you? Unfortunately, this gave her the authority to pick out the song that went with it.

Cheesy Venison Hot Pockets
- 1 pound ground venison – drained
- Half block Velveeta Queso cheese
- Half block cream cheese
- 1 can green chilis
- 1 packet ranch dressing mix
- Dash of chili powder
- Dash of cumin
- 2 tubes crescent rolls
To get this easy recipe started, melt the queso in a large bowl, then combine with the cooked and drained venison. Add in the cream cheese, chilis, ranch mix, cumin, and chili powder in a large pan, or same pan that was used to cook the venison, and mix well.
Next, spoon the mixture on the crescent rolls on top of greased pan. Wrap them into pockets and bake them in the oven for about 12 to 14 minutes at 375.
Just be careful, you might have to make a bunch because these will go quick. Enjoy!
