If you're a waterfowler, this incredible video will give you a bad case of itchy trigger finger!
There's nothing more thrilling for a waterfowler than to watch a flock of ducks or geese soar low overhead. Even a single duck is worthy of praise. That's why this video, filmed in Mississippi County, Missouri, will for certain knock your hunting socks off.
Wildlife Management Biologist and Area Manager Josh Hager was doing his weekly tour and count of the Ten Mile Pond Conservation Area recently when he filmed this footage. The 'Pond' still had open water spots, and as you'll see in this video, they were attracting quite a lot of attention. According to Hager's observations, upwards of 100,000 ducks and geese were present!
This video should definitely be titled 'Ducks for Days':
Who wants to hunt here? Almost seems a little too easy, doesn't it?
Nice to see the population of waterfowl is healthy in Missouri. Management and conservation efforts that are proving to be a success.
