Urban Carry is a holster maker that listens to its customers.
With help from customers, the Urban Carry G2 Holster has been born, and it might be perfect for you. Here's the skinny on this unique slimline carry system.
The great folks at Urban Carry are always striving to keep customers happy. With input from owners of the original Urban Carry Holster, they have made a great improvement for their second generation Urban Carry Holster.
I got a chance to try out the Urban Carry G2 Holster. Right from the start, I noticed some changes in comparison to the previous version. There is now a powerful magnet in the place where the I.D. holder was located before. This magnet holds the handgun very securely inside the holster until the full draw has been completed.
In addition, the belt clip has been beefed up and does a great job keeping everything where it should be for carrying and drawing your weapon.
The saddle-grade leather is even more supple on the sample I received than the leather on the original Urban Carry Holsters. This will break in and get even softer with use. The new leather adds comfort, especially when you are in a seated position while wearing this below-the-waistband holster.
There are a few tips I've found useful for the Urban Carry G2 Holster. First, wear pants with a little room in the waistband. I am not a "skinny jean" fan, so that is not a problem for me. This allows a smoother draw and a comfortable carry. Also, use a tough leather holster belt, such as Urban Carry's Holster Belt, to help hold up your pants along with the extra weight of your handgun.
Practice while wearing the Urban Carry G2 Holster. Start out with an unloaded pistol and get comfortable with drawing your weapon before hitting the range for live fire practice. Any holster make needs a user to practice for successful implementation in a highly nerve-wracking survival situation. With this holster, your attacker will never see it coming.
