Watch frustration turn into pure elation as Randy Newberg's luck quickly changes and he bags his biggest elk of all-time on public land in central Montana.
Last year Randy Newberg discovered a patch of public land mostly surrounded by private land in central Montana that turned out to be full of bull elk. Naturally, he was quite pleased with his discovery and decided to hunt that area on the opening morning of the rifle elk season.
Well, things didn't quite go as planned when he ran into some other hunters who messed up his hunt by (potentially) trespassing on the private land and poaching one of those elk. Though his spirits quickly sank, you'll be surprised at how his luck changed later that day.
Check out the video and see just how quickly things turned around for him.
Was that intense or what!?!?
That just goes to show that your luck can change in a matter of minutes. Whatever you do, don't give up, no matter how hard it gets on your elk hunt!
Congratulations on the great elk Randy!
Right after the hunt, Randy made a video of how he butchered the massive old bull. So, if you're interested in learning more, check out his video on the gutless method of butchering an elk.
