This is actually a pretty clear and well-researched take on trophy hunting.
As a part of the popular College Humor web/TV series "Adam Ruins Everything," Adam took on trophy hunting. You might not expect a favorable opinion of hunting from that kind of source, but Adam surprised us by making one of the clearest and well-researched arguments about the value of trophy hunting we've seen.
The video is a little silly in nature, and hunters are pretty unfairly stereotyped, but this is one of the few times you'll see non-outdoor media understand that hunting really is conservation.
It's kind of a shame something like this didn't pop up sooner in the wake of the Cecil the Lion or Josh Bowmar incidents that have made recent headlines. Hunting is something that's not often given fair coverage these days, so it's refreshing to see someone thinking for himself and starting a reasonable discussion.
Even if you didn't like the stereotypes, you have to admit, this video could be helpful in getting this information to an audience that might not otherwise encounter hunting media. That, in my mind, is a win for everyone involved.
Thanks for giving trophy hunting a fair look, Adam!
