A former hunting show host from Washington is fined for his illegal hunting activities in Montana.
An ex-hunting show host was fined over $12,000 his illegal hunting of deer and elk in Montana.
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks officers told reporters 28-year-old Matthew Alwine pleaded guilty to failing to obtain landowner permission while hunting game animals and was sentenced Wednesday.
Chad Murphy, regional investigator, claims some of the illegal hunting was aired on Alwine’s show “Trophy State of Mind.”
Earlier this month, Alwine pleaded guilty to illegally obtaining licenses in the Big Sky state which cost $90 for residents and $970 for out-of-state hunters.
Alwine was banned from hunting, fishing, and trapping in Montana, Washington, Idaho, and all the other states with reciprocal agreements, according to Murphy.
