Seeing a buck shed his antlers is like winning the lottery.
We all know whitetail bucks shed their antlers annually, but few of us have ever witnessed the event firsthand.
For Maine resident Jess Martin, not only did she watch the process happen in real time, but she caught the drop perfectly while her camera rolled.
Looks like the belly of this doe was a little too much for her would-be suitor to handle.
How cool was that? This once-in-a-lifetime experience goes to show that when the antlers are ready to shed, it doesn't take much for them to fall.
