What happens when you use tiny ice fishing tackle out on the open ocean?
This may be the ultimate test of the durability of ice fishing gear!
I've heard of using ultra-light gear for more of a challenge, but this is ridiculous! I don't think I've ever seen a fishing rod bent so far.
The fish isn't the most gigantic thing in the ocean, but you have to appreciate the fact he was able to wear it down and get it into the boat.
It's also surprising the fish had nothing left once it was brought on board. You'd think with light tackle, it'd still have a little fight left in it.
I'm curious what pound test line he was using for this experiment. That reel couldn't possibly hold a very heavy line.
