Jeffrey King took a walk along the shore in Hawaii and stumbled upon a freshly dead jumbo squid.
According to reports, he found the jumbo squid on the shore near the north end of Charlie Young Beach in Kihei, Hawaii.

The jumbo squid, likely a Humboldt squid, was in remarkable shape when it washed onto the shore.
King said, "I have never seen a squid this big. It was dead when I found it, but not dead for long." After picking it up, King determined "it weighed about 18-20 pounds. Its stomach was full of sand (and) the beak and eyeballs were the size of a golf ball."
Humboldt squids are among the largest squids in the ocean, capable of growing to five feet in length.
