A fisherman using a classic umbrella rig made one cast and hauled in three beautiful largemouths!
Commonly called the Alabama rig, this “umbrella” style fishing lure is a highly effective way to catch some nice lunker bucket-mouths.
In fact, it’s been so ridiculously successful that B.A.S.S. and the F.L.W. has since banned the bait from all competitions.
Watching a regular guy catch three fish in one cast will speak volumes about how good the Alabama rig can be!
Caution: Coarse language in the video
Is that a stringer or a fish-bait?? Talk about bending your rod!
I’ve caught two bass on one bait in my lifetime, but never three; let alone three that must weigh three pounds or more each!
On one hand I can see why they would ban such a bait, but on the other what does it matter as long as everybody can use one? Maybe one per angler per boat?
As long as they catch bass like that, sign us up!
