Some hunters go years before harvesting their first deer. This lucky hunter killed a buck her first day in the field.
One of the main reasons this lucky hunter was successful so quickly was that she sought the assistance of a more experienced hunter; in this case, it was her husband. Since he had already taken his buck for the year, he decided it would be a good time to get his wife in the woods for a little late season mule deer action.
When the new hunter is given an opportunity to take a buck, she takes advantage of it. Watch the video to see how the hunt unfolded.
Good shooting! As you can see in the video, one of the hardest things for many new hunters is finding the animal in the scope and settling the crosshairs for the shot. This hunter did the right thing by waiting until she was on target before pulling the trigger.
Introducing new hunters is a great way to move our sport forward and spend some quality time in the woods with someone you love. Get out and help a newbie hunter this season and experience the rewards for yourself.
