Florida residents are used to gators showing up in weird places, but nothing like this!
With all the gator hunting going on on tv these days, it seems gators are starting to switch up their tactics.
Last Tuesday night, Ronald Saracen snapped a photo of what appears to be an alligator resting on a tree limb. Yes, you read that correctly. The alligator was photographed, “on a tree limb”.
“I live on the water and we have a mango tree and I see all kinds of lizards every day,” said Ronald Saracino. “At first I thought it was some kind of lizard.”
Ronald admitted that it took him a few moments to realize what he was seeing. But once he did, he decided to snap this photo of the animal at rest.
Florida Fish and Wildlife say that although the photo is not the best quality it does seem to resemble an alligator.
Videos have surfaced in recent years of alligators making their way into backyard swimming pools and even one climbing straight up and over a chainlink fence. The idea that this gator may have made his way up those branches is certainly strange, but not too far fetched to believe.
A Florida Fish and Wildlife official says it’s not an impossible feat for an alligator.
