Ice bullets have been a theory and a movie idea for years. But do ice bullets really work?
This test is to see how viable an ice bullet could possibly be.
Watch this video to finally answer if an ice bullet is actually usable.
These water bullets were fast frozen at -100 degrees in dry ice in thin polyethylene capsules.
With such a light-weight bullet, accuracy was definitely not optimum. What was interesting though, was the energy that this experiment proved. With the shotgun test projectile hitting the target sideways, all of that energy blasted through the 3/4-inch, marine-grade plywood.
The ice bullet theory appears to be busted. This would be due to inaccuracy mainly, along with the obvious melting concerns.
