Meet Claude, the Kung Fu Bear [VIDEO]

Meet the Kung fu bear of the outdoors. His martial arts skills are impeccable.

The first time I saw this, I thought it had to have been fake. But on closer observation, I think this bear is literally just playing with a staff and it comes across as skilled Kung fu.

Meet the Kung fu bear.

This Asian bear is named "Claude," not Bruce Lee unfortunately, and you can visit this Kung fu bear at the Asa Zoo in Hiroshima, Japan.

His skills are, in fact, genuine.

The zookeepers started giving Claude sticks to play with when he was introduced to the Asa zoo in 2002. He got so adept at playing with a five-meter staff, bouncing it off his shoulders and neck, that he looks like he was trained in the ancient Chinese martial arts, Kung fu.

Was Claude the inspiration for "Kung Fu Panda?"
