Here’s Proof the Browning Automatic Rifle Rocks

Have a look at the Browning Automatic Rifle and see its awesome firepower in action.

This is the Browning Automatic Rifle, and it’s something to behold when fired on the range. It was relied on by our grandfathers and great-grandfathers to fight the Japanese and Nazis in the vicious battles that defined World War II.

I own .30-06 bolt-action rifle and I can’t even imagine those big rounds flying at a target with automatic fire. It must have been terrifying to be on the receiving end of such big rounds if you were an enemy soldier.

First designed and fielded in 1918 to be a game-changer in World War I, the Browning Automatic Rifle arrived too late for the Doughboys to get a lot of battle time as Germany surrendered. The B.A.R. really became noticed as one of the favorite weapons of G-Men to go up against the gangsters in the 1920s and 1930s, its awesome firepower ably defending the good guys in running gun battles with mobsters.

The gun’s heyday came when it was used extensively by combat infantrymen against the massed Banzai charges of the Japanese and against the stubborn and fanatical Nazis during the push into Europe.

This is one gun that commands respect and was ahead of its time in design and robustness. If you get a chance to shoot one, don’t pass it up.
