Myths abound when it comes to shooting; especially when it is one of the most popular rifle platforms in the U.S. For years I have heard less experienced shooters push the falsehood that resting your AR-15 on its mag to shoot from the prone or a wall will cause stoppages. This is simply not true; talk to any combat veteran who has been in a firefight and I guarantee they at some point rested their M-4 rifle on its mag to get better stability, without stoppages.

Most AR-15s are quality made rifles and as long as you clean, maintain and use good ammo, they are going to run very well for you.

Seek out experts to get your training tips and avoid myths and hearsay that will lead you down the wrong path.
