I’ve been fishing for quite a few years, but I never caught a steelhead… until today.
When I saw this video depicting the first moments of a steelhead (after seeing the final moments earlier in the day), I had to watch it.
And then I had to share it.
The video shows steelhead hatching at Quilcene National Fish Hatchery in the state of Washington.
Staff at the hatchery inspect the young fish so that no diseases are spread, and then they’re put back into native streams.
And in a few years, someone (like me) can catch it. Now, I need some good steelhead recipes.
