Mark Noble, a midfielder for West Ham United, may have been snubbed for the England national team, but he sure hasn't been when it comes to fishing.
Noble recently hauled in what may have been a 50-pound carp while fishing with teammate Alex Song.
Noble has a passion for fishing, and he did so during some extra time off for international play before continuing in the Barclays Premier League.
The midfielder started fishing early in his life. His father took him out on Beckton Boating Lake. However, after moving out of his parents' home, he spent most of his time playing soccer.
In 2013 while on vacation in Florida, Noble went fishing and got hooked once again.
Having Song to fish with isn't the norm for Noble. He rarely convinces any of his teammates to go fishing with him.
"Modibo Maiga, Guy Demel and Momo Diame can't understand how you go fishing and chuck them back," Noble said. "They say, 'Bring it in, I'll eat it.' I say, 'You're not allowed to do that here!'"
