“Tako,” as the Japanese call it, is a delicious seafood, and when it’s harvested the hard way, it’s even more delectable.
Spearfishing is a tried and true method for getting up close to some of the more difficult species. In the case of this octopus and its buddy, it was lights out. Can you say “sushi time”?
The second of the octopi walked right into the diver’s hand; talk about a quick strike! Even though his (maybe her?) hands were full, the spearfisherman was able to dispatch the second living ink-well with a perfect knife stroke to the brain.
