Recently commenced is the night hunting coyotes season in the Pine Tree State. While it’s legal to hunt wild dogs all year in Maine, night hunting coyotes is only permitted for eight months. The season will last from now until August 31st.
Under the regulations, night coyote hunting will be allowed from a half hour after sunset to a half hour before sunrise during the season. Sunday is a day where no hunting is permitted.
According to reports, there are about 10,000 coyotes in Maine and they sometimes wander into urban areas and wreak havoc, leading to their unfortunate demise.
