Blue Cod Caught in Alaska has everyone scratching their heads.
Anglers with Naukati Bay Adventures caught a rare turquoise ling cod last week. The fishing crew snapped a few pictures before releasing it back into the waters.
The photos surfaced on Facebook by the fishing charter and later went viral with over 3,200 shares.
Biliverdin is the culprit for changing the tint of Cod. In short, Biliverdin is due to the coloration of the blood plasma in the marine fish.
It’s said that when the Blue Cod fish meat is cooked, it actually changes to a white shade. Who would’ve guessed?
