Officials are considering extending a bowhunting ban to near city limits in Tuscaloosa.
Tuscaloosa officials will consider extending a ban for bowhunting near city limits.
Under the proposed changes, bowhunting would be illegal within 300 yards of city limits.
Jimbo Woodson, Senior Associate City Attorney, told reporters the proposal was prompted by residential complaints of bowhunting close to sidewalks, homes, and trails.
In 2004,Woodson added, city officials banned bowhunting within city limits after similar complaints.
The council has plans to meet Tuesday.
