We see a lot of deer rescue stories here at Wide Open Spaces. But rarely is the deer an absolute monster like this one!
Police in Eastlake, Ohio, were called out to help a big non-typical buck that got stuck in a hose and bench in a backyard on Willowick Drive.
"It appeared the buck had been standing all night in this position. Officers were able to first free the antlers with an animal restraint device then lift the swing toward the buck so he could free its hoof. The exhausted deer walked to another area a yard away and bedded down," a Facebook post by the Eastlake Police Department reads.
The post quickly went viral. It probably helped the buck is a beast of a non-typical!
Additional comments claim the buck later died from his injuries, but we were unable to find anything on the Police Department's page to confirm it. Although, it's not hard to believe looking at how damaged his right front leg appears to be.
Those drop tines are huge, and the junk going off his G2 on the right side is incredible. A real shame if this buck really is dead because you just don't get to see a deer like this very often.
