An important ruling about open carry in Michigan could affect schools across the state.
Watch this news clip about the recent ruling about open carry that's sure to heat things up in Michigan schools.
Open carry has always been a hot button issue, but in Ann Arbor the University of Michigan is truly taking this topic to heart.
The University of Michigan has a case in the Court of Claims which is essentially the first step to altering open carry rules in the state of Michigan.
One student told reporters; "There's no reason to have guns on campus, I feel safe."
Currently if you're a registered gun owner you can have a gun on campus as long as it's in a holster. There have been many rallies in Lansing to keep this law intact.
As you can see there are good arguments to both sides, but only time will tell if the open carry law will remain effective in Michigan schools.
