Ohio controlled hunt apps are due soon.
The Ohio Division of Natural Resources is now accepting applications from resident hunters for their variety of controlled hunting opportunities.
The deadline for these applications is July 31, 2014, so if you want a shot at being selected for a spot on one of the controlled hunts being offered, make sure to apply before then.

Everyone who wants to apply, including youth and adults, will need a 2014-2015 Ohio hunting license and must also meet any other requirements for each controlled hunt such as minimum age. There is also a $3, non-refundable fee to try for each controlled hunt being applied for. Random drawings will decide which lucky hunters will get to partake in the hunts.
Those lucky enough to be chosen for the controlled hunts will be notified and provided with further information via mail and email.
The Ohio Division of Natural Resources conducts these special hunts on certain public land as a way to provide Ohio hunters with additional ways to take advantage of the plentiful resources the state offers. There are a variety of planned hunts including those for women, youth, and the mobility-impaired.
