Nintendo Glock Zapper is Under Fire, Precision Syndicate Responds

Over the last few months, we've seen an influx of Nintendo Glock Duck Hunt-era zapper custom builds, but Precision Syndicate took major heat this weekend.

It seems 2016 is the year for recreating famous firearms, especially when it comes to a custom build of the Nintendo Duck Hunt gun. This Nintendo Glock model has been seen all over the internet, from Jerry Miculek's YouTube channel to a Black Sheep Arms mock-up.

However, when Precision Syndicate, LLC of Odessa, Texas released two photos of their custom build on their Facebook page on April 6, they got so much heat that they actually posted their email address to address any concerns.

They posted the below photo with the caption, "Finally... We were waiting for someone to let us do this. We weren't the first to do it but WOW, this glock turned out good!"

The major problem was the outcry over creating a real firearm that so closely resembled a kid's toy. There are two sides to the argument - one in which it's the gun company's responsibility to not create weapons that are so similar to a toy (one from a 1990s era video game, mind you). The opposite argument is that it's a parent's responsibility to handle not only firearm safety in a household, but to also ensure that all guns are appropriately stored at all times.

Apparently Precision Syndicate received so much backlash from opinionated internet denizens, they released this post earlier today with the caption:

In light of the "Nintendo Glock" drama, we feel that the media and our fans need to know that this firearm will not be mass produced nor will it ever be. This is a one off custom build for a friend of ours. Do to the thousands of emails and messages we have received in the past 2 days we have been unable to contact everyone in a timely manner, please be patient we will get to you as soon as possible. Thank you all for your support! Oh, and please.. keep your guns locked up and away from children, it's common sense.

It feels like common sense that a firearms company wouldn't mass produce this gun, not only for it's toy-like appearance, but also because it's an extremely custom build that wouldn't pay for itself should it be mass produced.

Regardless, take in the awesome pictures of this custom build because honestly, it's the best one we've seen of this Nintendo Glock. Hey Precision Syndicate, you guys are okay in our book here at Wide Open Spaces! Keep doing your awesome custom gun builds, they're a work of art.
