A new Beretta plant in Tennessee will bring the firearms manufacturer brighter opportunities.
Beretta announced on their website that the new facilities will require a $45 million investment to create a state-of-the-art plant for manufacturing and research and development. Both the tactical and sporting firearm lines will be built at the new Tennessee plant.
The facility will be located in Sumner County at the Gallatin Industrial Park. Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam was partly responsible for attracting Beretta to the state in the first place. Together with Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty, Haslam convinced the famous firearms company that Tennessee is a great place for expanding their US facilities.

"Beretta is one of the world's greatest companies, and their decision to expand into Tennessee speaks to the standards of craftsmanship and quality our state's workforce embraces every day," Haslam said in the announcement. "Attracting a legendary company like Beretta reinforces our goal of becoming the No. 1 location in the Southeast for high-quality jobs. I want to thank the Beretta family for their substantial investment in Tennessee and the 300 jobs they'll create in Sumner County."
Franco Gussalli Beretta, executive vice president and director of Beretta Holding S.p.A., added "From the moment when we started to consider a location outside of the State of Maryland for our manufacturing expansion, Governor Haslam and his economic development team did an excellent job demonstrating the benefits of doing business in Tennessee. We are convinced we could find no better place than Tennessee to establish our new manufacturing enterprise. We look forward to building operations here and being part of your community for many years to come."
Beretta is the oldest established firearms dynasty in the world, with roots tracing back to their start in 1526. Originally from Italy, the company is privately owned and operated by members of the 15th and 16th generation of the Beretta family.
Beretta USA Corp. started in 1977, and supplies the standard sidearm carry for US Armed Forces, the M-9 pistol.
