Mysterious Cat-Like Animal Stalks Los Angeles Suburb [VIDEO]

A large cat-like animal was spotted last week in Norwalk, California, a dense suburb of Los Angeles.

Grainy surveillance footage of the animal stalking a city street was posted to the city of Norwalk’s Facebook page last Friday.

It appears to be a mountain lion, but animal experts disagree. An “undisputed expert” at the state Department of Fish and Wildlife told local news station KTLA5 that it was definitely not a mountain lion.

One lion expert thinks it could be a lion from land far, far away. After examining the surveillance footage, Craig Packer, a lion expert with the University of Minnesota Lion Research Center, said it might be an African lioness.

“Yes, it certainly does look like an African lion,” Packer told the Los Angeles Times. “It’s not a cougar.”

So, what the heck is it? An African lion that escaped some exotic pet owner’s home? Is it really big dog?

Watch this report from KTLA and let us know what you think it is.
