Mountain Lion Sighting in Kansas Confirmed [PICS]

Rooks County, Kansas officials confirm a new mountain lion sighting, the eleventh in the state since 2007.

Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism officials have confirmed the newest sighting of a mountain lion in the state, thanks to a trail camera posted just north of the town of Webster.


Since 2007 there have been 11 confirmed sightings of mountain lions in the state of Kansas.

The most recent sighting of Puma concolor was an animal that was also confirmed by a trail camera in Sedgwick, County near the town of Clearwater four years ago.
