This moose roast will please even the pickiest of eaters.
Moose provide a lot of decadent meat for your freezer. Preparing a moose roast is simple enough, however, it is also simple to dry out. This recipe keeps the roast moist and tender and is very simple to prepare.
4-5 pounds moose roast
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 package of onion mushroom soup mix
1 carton fresh sliced mushrooms
1 cup water
Preheat oven to 325. Pour the two cans of cream of mushroom soup into a two-quart roasting dish. Mix the dried onion mushroom soup mix into the soup. Add water. Fold in fresh mushrooms. Place moose roast into gravy mixture, cover and bake for 20 minutes.
You can also prepare this recipe using a Crock-pot. Simply follow the instructions above placing all of your ingredients into a Crock-pot, set it on low for 4-6 hours and enjoy later.
