Moose Goes Loco on Mountain Bikers near Anchorage [VIDEO]

A group of mountain bikers narrowly escape a defensive momma moose in the video below.

Back in late May, YouTube user B Neeley and his friends were mountain biking through Kincaid National Park in Anchorage, AK when a moose charged them. The huge cow burst out of the woods and nearly toppled one of the bikers, but he managed to jump out of the way at the last second.

More moose charges:

Luckily, no one was injured, and the moose quickly retreated after the bikers walked away.

Moose can be more aggressive than grizzly bears when they feel threatened, especially when their calves are nearby. This video was taken in late May when cows tend to have their calves alongside them. During that time of year, they are more prone to reacting aggressively to nearby animals. Most moose charges are bluffs or attempts to identify if an animal is an actual threat.
