Three Austrian men rescued a red deer from by being buried alive after they discovered only its antlers in the snow.
Austrian Cameraman Simon Platzer was filming his snow skiing adventure with two friends in the woods near Untertilliach, Austria when he stumbled on antler points sticking up in the snow.
The three men, one of which was a hunter, dug down and found that the antlers belonged to a large red deer that was still alive. Using shovels and rope, the three men freed the animal from the snowy trap.
But the deer was so exhausted that when it tried to stand up out, it fell back down and became trapped again. An hour later the men were able to get it out and send it on its way.
Ever seen an animal stuck in snow like that?
