Marksman Plays "Auld Lang Syne" with a .22 Rifle [VIDEO]

If improved marksmanship is one of your New Year's resolutions, "Auld Lang Syne" played with steel targets should serve as appropriate inspiration.

In this video, expert shooter Patrick Kelly uses a semi-automatic .22-caliber rifle to literally ring in the the New Year with "Auld Lang Syne," the song sung at midnight when the ball drops.

To bang out the famous song, Kelly targets metal plates that are tuned to play a specific note when shot. The result is proof that with steady and consistent aim, a skilled shooter can play music as well as any maestro.

The video leaves us not only with a sense of hope for the New Year, but with a convincing argument of the potential of high capacity magazines. Had certain politicians gotten their way, this high-powered musician would've had to limit his song selection to tunes with fewer than 10 notes.
