Carelessness can really hurt.
In this case, a shooter almost sent a .45 caliber slug through his hand.
Witness the gun range close call accident that will give you a fit of anger.
In this video we witness a gun range safety instructor and a shooter walk down the gun range and engage targets. The first guy has no problems and follows the gun safety rules. The second shooter draws his pistol, and likely has his finger on the trigger. A negligent discharge happens. The shooter's left hand almost catches a .45 caliber bullet. Now that would have been messy.
What is really discerning is the fact that the range safety officer shouts "You're good, you're good!" The shooter then completes the course with all body parts intact. In reality, the safety officer should have stopped, assessed the situation, and made sure the gun and the shooter were completely out of harm's way.
That is a bad situation that should have never happened. Be careful out there.
