A good day fishing turns directions after two anglers needed help when a heap of catfish sink their boat.
In an unusual situation, two Louisiana men required help after their fishing boat, weighed down with nearly 4,000 pounds of catfish, sunk in the Mississippi River near Carville.
Thomas Roy encountered the men, one of which was in the water holding a wire to prevent being caught in the current and swept under a rig.
Here's Roy speaking with WAFB television.
Water levels were high and temperatures were still on the cold side, so Roy's rescue mission was surely a life-saving move.
It's hard to imagine 2 tons of fish in one boat, but there was no indication how big the boat was, or what kind of shape it was in.
