State land sales are more common than you might think.
In this episode of “Stealing Your Public Lands”, Randy Newberg discusses the history of state land sales. After learning how much of their public lands the states have already sold, you’ll probably think twice about the federal land transfer issue.
Watch the video to learn the history of state land sales and prepare to be amazed.
Wow! As usual, Randy’s point of view comes from a ton of research and running the numbers on how the states asking for federal land transfers have handled their public land in the past.
All together, the state land sales in these states have transferred ownership of over 16 million acres of public lands to private landowners and, in all likelihood, that is what would happen to several million more acres if these states gain control of land that is currently owned by the federal government.
If you hunt, fish, hike, camp, or just want a place where your children can enjoy these outdoor pursuits, you should oppose federal land transfers.
