Eva and Jim Shockey are in the Yukon looking for some meat for Eva’s wedding dinner.
When a good bull moose gives her a shot, Eva Shockey performs like a pro.
The Shockey family is all smiles until they realize how late it is and that they will need to spend the night butchering the bull.
But, as all hunters know, the work and discomfort that sometimes comes with hunting is well worth the effort and Eva is pumped that the “meat from this moose is going to feed everyone at [her] wedding.”
Watch the video to see how the Shockey family makes their meat.
Hunting runs in the Shockey family’s blood. Jim Shockey has 88 SCI world records, has hunted in 40 countries on six continents, and has been an outfitter and guide for over 25 years.
Passing his skills on to his daughter Eva just comes natural to a die-hard hunter like Jim. Over the last few years, she’s become an important part of his television show “Jim Shockey’s Hunting Adventures.”
We’re excited to see Eva Shockey making some big-time kills of her own while setting a positive example for female hunters of all ages.
As planned, this moose was served at Eva’s wedding, which took place on June 20.
Congratulations Eva… on the moose and that other thing.
