In Cambodia, a deep hole is all it takes to catch enough fish for a nice meal. Just in case you ever need this trick, here's how it works.
Most of the time, on outdoors sites, you'll find the latest and greatest fishing gear that you "have to have" to catch a fish. Today, we're going to do the polar opposite and look at how you can catch plenty of fish for eating without ever setting eye on a fishing pole or net of any kind. This video comes to us from Cambodia, where they take the time to show us how all you really need to catch a fish dinner is a deep hole.
Whether you're using this to catch fish while out on a hunting or camping expedition, for survival purposes, or just to feed the family, the ability to catch fish using nothing but a deep hole is a great tool to have in your back pocket.
Of course, you do need to be in an area that is conducive to this type of fishing, and you'll have to be an ethical sportsman and make sure you are fishing responsibly. If you dig a hole, you must check it in a reasonable amount of time so the fish don't use up all the oxygen and suffocate. Then, of course, when you've finished using the hole, be sure to fill it in so it doesn't accidentally remain active.
