Hunters Geared Up for 2014 Ohio Gun Season

The 2014 Ohio gun season for deer hunting starts Monday, Dec. 1.

Hunters in the Buckeye State are allowed to hunt with straight-walled cartridge rifles during the deer gun season from Dec. 1 to 7, and the youth deer gun season (Nov. 22 and 23).

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) says more than 400,000 hunters should utilize the seven-day gun season, and it could help beat the previous two year totals of 75,000+ deer last year and almost 87,000 in 2012.
